Q. How are faculty becoming familiarized with the notebooks? How will they be used in the classrooms? A. The faculty participated in an extensive array of training sessions in 1996 with update sessions as needed. MaSU also benefits from a major federal Title III initiative which funds faculty development in instructional applications of multimedia and cross-training with faculty at VCSU. Many faculty have extensive experience teaching courses in computer labs. The notebook computers will make it possible to use software or access the Internet with a class of any size at any time without facing scheduling problems associated with a limited number of busy computer labs.
