Q. How will notebook computers contribute to my educational experience at Mayville State? A. The key phrase is universal access. All students, no matter what their major, will have access to current computer technology. Everyone will also have 24-hour access to word processing, spreadsheets, databases, courseware, e-mail communication with faculty and other students, and learning resources at libraries around the world. Students will graduate with extensive knowledge of software and the application of computers which will be important when applying for jobs or graduate school. Students will be able to post messages to professors at any time of day or night. Professors can place syllabi and assignments on the campus web pages. Everyone on campus will be able to access the latest information on the network. Messages can be sent to a group or individuals easily, across the campus or anywhere in the country.
